Silicone Oils & Fluids

Silicone oils and silicone fluids – from 0.65 to 300,000 cSt

Silicone oils (polydimethylsiloxanes, PDMS) are characterized by exceptional thermal stability, chemical inertness, and consistent viscosity across a wide temperature range. They are indispensable for lubrication, demolding, surface treatment, and as process oils.

Viscosity ranges

Ultra-low viscosity (0.65–5 cSt): Cleaning, carrier fluid, heat transfer. Low viscosity (10–100 cSt): Demolding, textile softeners, release coatings. Medium viscosity (100–10,000 cSt): Damping, lubrication, cosmetic applications. High viscosity (10,000–300,000 cSt): Joint filling, sealants, silicone pastes.

Elkem Bluesil and SILISIL silicone oils
