Our history.
What began in 2000 as a management buyout has, over the course of two decades, grown into one of Switzerland’s leading specialty distributors of silicones, adhesives, and chemical-technical products. Our journey has been shaped by strong partnerships, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to finding the right solution for every application.
foundation
Management buyout of Shell Aseol's CT division. Headquartered in Bern, the company focuses on high-quality specialty chemical and technical products for industry and commerce.
Strategic Partnerships
Establishment of a partnership with Henkel and addition of the Loctite, Teroson, and Bonderite brands to the product range. SILITECH establishes itself as an authorized distributor of industrial adhesives in Switzerland.
Moving to Gümligen
SILITECH is moving into its current location at Worbstrasse 173 in Gümligen near Bern—with its own warehouse, filling station, and excellent transportation links.
Expansion of the product range
Addition of Permabond, Elkem/Bluesil, CRC, and other premium brands. Entry into new markets: automotive, electronics, and medical technology. Development of customized services such as repackaging, consulting, and sample shipping.
Sustainability and Modernization
Introduction of environmentally conscious processes in recycling, packaging, and transportation logistics. Integration of new partners such as Zhermack, Acrystal, and Bioresin. Expansion of the digital infrastructure.
Launch of own brands
Rebranding and market launch of our own product lines under the SILISIL (silicones, release agents, sprays) and SILIRESIN/Biothan (PU casting systems) brands. Developed for the Swiss market and proven in hundreds of applications.
ISO 9001 Certification
Successful ISO 9001 certification. Membership in Kunststoff.swiss. Consistent quality assurance throughout the entire value chain—from incoming goods to shipment.
New leadership, clear vision
Florian Liechti acquires 100% of the shares and will lead SILITECH AG as owner and CEO. Launch of the B2B online store. Expansion of the sales team to cover Western Switzerland and the French border region.
