RTV-2 silicones consist of two components (base + hardener) and offer greater precision, controlled curing, and improved mechanical properties. They are the standard choice for mold making, potting, and technical applications.
Which type of silicone is suitable for mold making?
For mold making, we recommend addition-curing RTV-2 silicones such as the SILISIL MF series or Bluesil RTV 3428/3450. Select the hardness based on your application: Shore A 20–25 for flexible molds, Shore A 35–45 for standard molds, and Shore A 50+ for abrasion-resistant molds.
