Permabond A1042 Medium-strength threadlocker – fast curing, vibration resistant, and WRAS certified
Permabond® A1042 is an anaerobic, medium-strength threadlocking adhesive that effectively replaces mechanical fastening elements such as spring washers or split pins. Thanks to its fast curing properties, the product is ideal for manufacturing processes with short cycle times. The combination of high vibration resistance, excellent chemical resistance, and integrated corrosion protection ensures a reliable bond even under demanding conditions.
Permabond A1042 is WRAS certified and therefore approved for use in drinking water applications. Its good lubricating effect also supports the assembly process by making screwing easier. The fluorescent blue formulation facilitates quality control.

Processing instructions
- Clean and degrease surfaces (e.g., with Permabond Cleaner A).
- Apply adhesive to the bolt thread or into the internal thread.
- Assemble components and allow to cure at room temperature.
- For inactive metals or low ambient temperatures: Use Permabond A905 as an activator.

- Not suitable for applications with steam or pure oxygen
- Avoid strong acids, alkalis, and polar solvents.
- Check compatibility with thermoplastics
