Permabond® 919 High Temperature Instant Adhesive – Allyl-based cyanoacrylate adhesive for extreme applications
Permabond® 919 is a unique allyl-based cyanoacrylate adhesive with extremely fast curing and outstanding temperature resistance. It reaches hand strength within seconds, while its full final strength is achieved after 24 hours. Its secondary curing mechanism is particularly noteworthy: after a targeted heat treatment process, the adhesive can permanently withstand temperatures of up to 250°C – ideal for applications in electronics manufacturing, the automotive industry, or baked enamel coatings.
The low-viscosity formulation allows for precise adhesive application even in the finest gaps (down to 0.05 mm). Permabond® 919 adheres excellently to metals such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, but also provides reliable bonds to many plastics and elastomers.

- Electronics manufacturing and sensor technology
- Precision engineering and precision technology
- Soldering and coating processes (e.g., baked-on coating, wave soldering)
Processing instructions
- Clean and degrease the adhesive surfaces (e.g., with acetone or isopropanol).
- If necessary: Lightly sand oxide layers on metals.
- Apply adhesive sparingly to a surface.
- Align parts precisely and join them directly.
- Apply a thin layer of adhesive using even pressure.
- Do not move during curing (a few seconds).
- Remove excess with CA solvent, nitromethane, or acetone.
-
For maximum heat resistance:
– Fix for 4 hours at room temperature
– Then temper for 2 hours at 150°C - For polyolefins (e.g., PP, PE), use Permabond POP Primer.
- Use CSA Activator for porous or difficult surfaces.
