PERMABOND® 737 – Flexible cyanoacrylate adhesive with high gap-filling capability
PERMABOND® 737 is a high-performance cyanoacrylate adhesive based on ethyl cyanoacrylate, which has been specially developed for applications where conventional instant adhesives reach their limits. With its high flexibility, good temperature resistance, and a gap-filling capacity of up to 0.5 mm, it is ideal for a wide variety of materials such as metals, plastics, and elastomers. Its black color makes it particularly suitable for bonding on dark surfaces. The adhesive is easy to use, 100% reactive, and requires neither mixing nor heat curing.

Suitable materials
- Metals (steel, aluminum, galvanized steel)
- Plastics (ABS, PVC, PC)
- Elastomers (e.g., rubber)
Typical areas of application
- Bonding with larger gaps (up to 0.5 mm)
- Repairs and assembly work in metal and plastics processing
- Applications with impact, peeling, and vibration loads
- Elastomer bonding
- Adhesion to dark surfaces
Processing instructions
- Surface preparation: Clean, dry, and free of grease. Remove oxide layers on metals with sandpaper if necessary.
-
Application:
- Shake before use
- Apply thinly to a surface (one drop is sufficient).
- Align and assemble parts precisely
- Apply even pressure until hand-tight.
- Curing: Handling strength after seconds, final strength after 24 hours
- Special note: Use Permabond CSA Activator for large gaps or difficult surfaces. For polyolefins, PTFE, or silicone, use Permabond POP Primer beforehand.
-
Cleaning: Remove excess adhesive with Permabond CA Solvent 2.
Storage and shelf life
- Storage: 2–7 °C, protect from direct sunlight
- Bring to room temperature before opening to prevent condensation.
