Permabond® 2011 Cyanacrylat-Gel – Hochviskoser Sekundenkleber für poröse Materialien und vertikale Anwendungen

Permabond® 2011 is a gel-like, thixotropic cyanoacrylate adhesive that has been specially developed for fast, clean, and precise bonding of a wide variety of materials. Thanks to its non-drip consistency, this instant adhesive is particularly suitable for use on vertical surfaces and porous materials such as wood, cardboard, or textiles. High initial strength is achieved in just a few seconds, enabling rapid further processing. Permabond® 2011 also has excellent gap-filling capabilities up to 0.5 mm and adheres reliably even to difficult substrates. Its resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, and moisture makes it an excellent choice for industrial and professional applications in demanding environments.

product features

  • Thixotropic, gel-like product – no dripping or running
  • Fast curing: Handleable in 5–10 seconds
  • Gap filling capacity up to 0.5 mm
  • Temperature resistant from -55 °C to briefly over 120 °C
  • Solvent-free and 100% reactive
  • Excellent adhesion to metals, plastics, and rubber
  • High shear strength: up to 24 N/mm² (steel)
  • Electrically insulating with high dielectric strength (25 kV/mm)
  • Chemical resistant (e.g., to water, ethanol, isopropanol)

Suitable materials

  • Metals (e.g., steel, aluminum, zinc)
  • Plastics (PVC, ABS, PC, phenolic resins)
  • Rubber (e.g., Buna N)
  • Wood, paper, textiles
  • Ceramics and other porous substrates

Typical areas of application

  • Electronics and equipment manufacturing
  • Plastics and rubber industry
  • Automotive and vehicle technology
  • Furniture and woodworking
  • General repair and installation work
  • Applications with vertical or overhead adhesive surfaces

Processing instructions

  1. Thoroughly clean and degrease surfaces (e.g., with Permabond Cleaner A).
  2. If necessary, lightly sand oxidized metals.
  3. Apply a thin layer of adhesive to one of the surfaces to be joined.
  4. Align the parts immediately and precisely, then hold them in place for a few seconds.
  5. Excess adhesive can be removed with Permabond CA Solvent.
  6. For difficult substrates, we recommend Permabond CSA Activator or POP Primer (for polyolefins).
  7. Store at 2–7°C; bring to room temperature before use.
