Prepare the bonding surface
Ensure that the bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease. If necessary, degrease them with Cleaner A Aerosol.

Shake the aerosol can
Shake the activator can briefly before use.

Spray on — Pre-treatment or post-treatment
Pre-treatment: Spray the activator onto the bonding surface, allow it to flash off (~30 sec), then apply the CA adhesive. Post-treatment: Apply the adhesive, join the parts, then spray the activator onto the excess adhesive.

Apply adhesive and join
For pre-treatment, apply the CA adhesive within 5 minutes of applying the activator. For post-treatment: Apply the adhesive immediately, then apply the activator for instant bonding.

Wait for it to harden
For steel + LOCTITE 416: approximately 10 seconds until set. For other substrates and adhesives, see the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) — typically 20–60 seconds.

Final curing
Full curing strength is achieved after 24 hours. Allow this time to elapse before subjecting the material to mechanical stress—to prevent stress or load failure.
