Thoroughly degrease and dust the bonding surfaces — using Bonderite L-MR or Permabond Cleaner A.

Stir the dispersion
Homogenize well before use—if using concentrates, dilute with the specified solvent if necessary.

Apply
Spray, dip, brush, or, in the case of aerosols, spray on—apply an even, thin layer.

Solvent evaporation
The carrier evaporates — with water-based products, heat can speed up the drying process.

Polymerization/Curing
At room temperature, typically 15 minutes (BND60A, D31A) to several hours—some require heat curing (e.g., 150 °C for L-GP 333-1).

The film is ready for use when dry—in high-temperature applications, the film continues to cure, improving its properties.

After the carrier substance (water, solvent, or MIBK) evaporates, dry-film lubricants form a firmly adhering lubricating film composed of solid lubricants (graphite, MoS₂, PTFE, or boron nitride). Advantages over liquid lubricants: no migration, lifelong lubrication in many applications, high-temperature suitability, compatibility with a wide range of substrates (wood, metal, plastic, glass), can be electrically conductive (graphite) or highly insulating (boron nitride).

Store in the original, unopened container in a dry, cool place—typically between +5 and +40 °C; see the TDS for exact values. Protect water-based products from freezing. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Note the expiration date on the packaging. Store aerosol sprays at low temperatures in a well-ventilated area.
