Permabond® 825 High-Temperature Cyanoacrylate Adhesive – Fast-Curing, Solvent-Free, High-Strength
Permabond® 825 is a high-performance cyanoacrylate adhesive with low viscosity, specially developed for demanding applications at high temperatures. It impresses with its excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, and rubber. Thanks to its fast curing time—within just a few seconds—it enables efficient production processes without additional heating or mixing processes.
Thanks to its excellent thermal aging resistance and stability at short-term temperatures of up to over 200 °C, Permabond® 825 is ideal for industrial processes such as bake coating or wave soldering. The adhesive is 100% reactive and contains no solvents—a safe and clean solution for professional applications.
product features
- High temperature resistant up to over 200 °C (for short periods)
- Very fast initial strength (5–20 seconds, depending on the material)
- No mixing or heat curing required
- Solvent-free and 100% reactive
- Low viscosity: 100–150 mPa·s at 25 °C
- Gap filling capacity up to 0.15 mm
- Excellent resistance to thermal aging and chemicals
- Good adhesion to many plastics, types of rubber, and metals
Suitable materials
- Metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum)
- Plastics (acrylic, polycarbonate, ABS, PVC)
- Elastomers (NBR, Buna-N)
- phenolic resins
- HDPE, LDPE (with pretreatment)
Typical areas of application
- Electrical engineering and electronics manufacturing
- automotive industry
- Mechanical and plant engineering
- Plastics and rubber processing
- High-temperature assembly (e.g., soldering, painting processes)
Processing instructions
- Thoroughly clean and degrease the bonding surfaces (e.g., with Permabond Cleaner A) and roughen them mechanically if necessary.
- Apply a thin layer of adhesive to one side – one drop is usually sufficient.
- Immediately join the parts together precisely and press them together briefly.
- Do not move during curing (5–60 seconds depending on substrate).
- Excess adhesive can be removed with Permabond CA Solvent.
- For difficult-to-bond substrates such as polyolefins, use Permabond POP Primer.
- Permabond CSA Activator is recommended for porous or inactive surfaces.
- After use, store in a cool (2–7 °C) and dry place; bring to room temperature before opening.
