Permabond® 801 – High-temperature resistant cyanoacrylate adhesive
Permabond® 801 is a high-performance, single-component cyanoacrylate adhesive specifically designed for applications requiring high temperature resistance. Its low viscosity (10–15 mPa·s) allows it to penetrate deep into narrow gaps, making it ideal for precision bonding on metal, plastic, and rubber.
The adhesive cures within 10–15 seconds (depending on the material) and reaches its final strength after 24 hours. It offers excellent shear strength values on metals and very good adhesion to various plastics. Permabond® 801 is 100% reactive, solvent-free, and easy to use—no mixing or heat curing required.

Suitable materials
- Metals (e.g., steel, aluminum, copper)
- Plastics (ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, etc.)
- Rubber (Buna N)
Typical areas of application
- Metal and plastic connections subjected to high temperatures
- Precision bonding in the electronics and automotive industries
- Installation and repair of seals and rubber parts
- Applications in mechanical and plant engineering
Processing instructions
- Surface preparation: Keep surfaces clean, dry, and free of grease (Permabond Cleaner A recommended).
- Application: Apply a small drop to one surface, then join the parts together, ensuring they are precisely aligned.
- Fixing: Apply even pressure and do not move during curing.
-
Optimization:
- For porous/difficult-to-bond surfaces, use Permabond CSA Activator.
- For polypropylene, polyethylene, PTFE, or silicone, use Permabond Polyolefin Primer (POP) beforehand.
- Cleaning: Remove excess with Permabond CA Solvent.
storage
- Store in a cool place (34–46 °F).
- Bring to room temperature before use to prevent condensation.
