This community is aimed at professionals and enthusiasts of our products and services. Share and discuss the best content and new marketing ideas, build your professional profile, and become a better marketer together.

This community is for professionals and enthusiastic users, partners, and programmers. Ask questions about it:

  • how to install Odoo in specific environments,
  • How can Odoo be configured or adapted to specific business requirements?
  • how to best use Odoo for a specific business requirement,
  • how to develop modules for your own requirements,
  • Specific questions about Odoo service offerings, etc.

Have you searched for similar questions? You can search questions by title or keywords. You may also answer your own question.

Please avoid asking questions that are too subjective, argumentative, or irrelevant to this community.

You should ask practical, answerable questions based on your specific problems. Rambling and unfocused questions reduce the usefulness of this site and crowd other questions off the home page.

To avoid having your question flagged or even removed, avoid subjective questions in which...

  • Every answer is equally valid: "What is your favorite ______?"
  • Your answer is given together with the question, and you expect further answers: "I use ______ for _______. What do you need?"
  • There is no current problem to solve: "I just wanted to know if other people think the same."
  • We are asked a wide-open, hypothetical question: "What if ______ happened?"
  • A tirade disguised as a question is included: "_______ sucks, doesn't it?"

If any of these examples apply to you, or if your motivation for asking the question is "I want to participate in a discussion about ______," then you should ask via our mailing lists rather than here. However, if your motivation is "I want others to explain ______ to me," then that is probably fine.

When a question is upvoted, the user who asked it gains points, known as karma points. These points serve as a rough measure of the user's trustworthiness. Various moderation activities are made available to users according to their karma level.

For example, if you ask an interesting question or give a helpful answer, you will receive a positive vote. If you give a misleading answer, you will receive a negative vote. Each positive vote is worth 10 points, each negative vote is worth -2 points. A question or answer can receive a maximum of 200 points per day. The following table shows the various moderation tasks and the points required for each.

The goal of this page is to create a knowledge base that answers questions about Odoo.

Therefore, questions and answers can be edited by experienced users of this website, similar to wiki pages, in order to improve the overall quality of the knowledge base content. Such privileges are granted based on the user's karma level: you will be able to do the same once your karma is high enough.

Please respect the community, even if you don't agree with this approach.
