Product description:

TEROSON® F173 is a high-quality, neutral-curing silicone sealant that has been specially developed for demanding sealing work on roofs and walls. This paste-like sealant impresses with its high elasticity, weather and UV resistance, and excellent adhesion to a wide range of building materials – without the need for a primer. F173 is even effective on bitumen roofing membranes, smooth metals, hard PVC, and glazed ceramics.

The paint-compatible formula in accordance with DIN 52452 makes TEROSON® F173 the ideal choice for a wide range of applications in building construction, such as sealing balconies, windows, lift doors, or openings. The sealant can be applied precisely and smoothed easily. Under normal conditions, it cures within a few days.

• Sheet metal seams in metal, air conditioning, and apparatus engineering

Processing instructions:

• Joint edges must be dry, free of dust and grease, and stable.
• Remove old sealant residues without leaving any residue 
• Apply using a caulking gun; cut the nozzle at an angle to the desired joint width.
• Smooth immediately after extrusion (with soap solution or damp tool).
• Clean fresh sealant with alcohol; remove hardened sealant mechanically.
• Not suitable for: walkable or drivable joints, food contact, aquariums, or underwater applications
• Compatible with common coating systems, but cannot be painted over
• Adhesion to PE, PTFE, EPDM, and oil-containing materials is excluded.
