Product description
SILISIL Silicone Fluid – Paintable Grade is a 100% active methylalkylaryl silicone fluid (CAS No. 68037-76-3). Unlike conventional polydimethylsiloxanes, it does not impair the paintability or coatability of surfaces. It prevents typical problems such as "fisheye effects" and is therefore ideal for applications in which components are subsequently painted, coated, or bonded.
The fluid is used as a highly effective lubricant and release agent in a wide variety of molding processes, including injection molding, compression molding, transfer molding, vacuum molding, casting, extrusion, and pour casting. Due to its special chemical structure, it has higher organo-compatibility, better temperature stability, and lower compressibility than conventional polydimethylsiloxanes.
It is also used as an additive in paints, varnishes, waxes, and inks, where it improves wetting and flow by reducing surface tension. It is also used successfully in paraffin oils, vinyl plastisols, rubber, and textile lubricants.
