SILISIL RTV MD-Skin 10 – Skin-friendly casting silicone for special effects and body impressions
SILISIL RTV MD-Skin 10 is an addition-curing, room-temperature vulcanizing 2-component silicone (RTV-2) that is specially designed for applications involving direct skin contact and realistic special effects was developed. With its particularly low Shore A hardness (~10) and exceptionally high elongation at break of around 600%, this silicone is ideal for producing extremely flexible, skin-like molds and masks.
Thanks to its low viscosity, the material is easy to pour and reliably captures even the finest details. Processing is straightforward with a mixing ratio of 1:1 by weight. The material can be removed from the mold after approx. 30 minutes and is fully cured within 24 hours (at 23 °C). The optional addition of SILISIL Deadner allows the feel to be further customized – from soft to almost gel-like consistency for realistic effects.

Processing instructions
- Stir the components (base and catalyst) thoroughly.
- Maintain an exact mixing ratio of 1:1 by weight (tolerance ±5%).
- Mix thoroughly, incorporating the sides and bottom of the container.
- Optional: Add SILISIL Deadner to adjust the feel (10–30%).
- Pour the silicone slowly and carefully (from a height of approx. 30 cm).
- Curing at room temperature; demolding possible after approx. 30 minutes.
