Frequently Asked Questions About SILBIONE Emulsion 70001

Answers regarding the SILBIONE Emulsion 70001 silicone emulsion.

A water-based dispersion of PDMS-silicone oil particles. Unlike solvent-based silicone dispersions, this emulsion is water-dilutable, non-flammable, low-odor, and more environmentally friendly. After application, the water evaporates, leaving a thin silicone film on the surface.

Typical applications: textile softeners (clothing, brushes), release agents (baking pans, food molds), tire and rubber product gloss (car care), lubricants (hidden sliding surfaces), and impregnation of textiles and paper.

No, never. Frost irreversibly destroys the emulsion—the silicone droplets aggregate and separate from the water. Store and transport only at 2–30°C. Transport in heated rooms or temperature-controlled containers.
