Description

Permabond TA4611 is a high-performance, two-component acrylic adhesive (mixing ratio 1:1) developed for bonding polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). Thanks to its unique formula, no primer or pre-treatment is required. It is also ideal for bonding metals, composites, and other materials.

Difference to Permabond TA4610

Permabond TA4611 does not contain any microparticles, making it ideal for use in very narrow gaps and fine adhesive joints.

Suitable substrates
  • Suitable substrates (no primer required, no surface pretreatment necessary):
    • Low-energy plastics: polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE)
    • Metals: steel, aluminum, copper, and many more.
    • Composite materials: GRP, CFRP, multilayer materials
    • Other materials: Various plastics, painted surfaces, ceramics, wood (depending on surface structure)

With polyolefins (PP, PE), care must be taken to remove any release agent residues beforehand (e.g., with Permabond Cleaner A).

benefits
  • High impact resistance
  • Good resistance to chemicals
  • Rapid curing at room temperature
  • No primer required
  • High impact resistance
  • Good resistance to chemicals
Note on surface pretreatment

Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of grease before application. If there are still traces of release agent on the polyolefin plastics, these can be cleaned with Cleaner A and should be allowed to dry thoroughly before bonding.
