Permabond® A1044 – Anaerobic thread sealant for high-performance joints
Permabond® A1044 is an anaerobic sealant specially designed for reliable sealing and fixing of metal threaded connections. The white-colored, single-component acrylate formulation seals immediately under low pressure and cures within a few minutes—ideal for industrial applications where a permanently stable connection is required.
Compared to conventional sealing materials such as hemp or PTFE tape, Permabond® A1044 offers decisive advantages: it does not shrink, leaves no residue that could clog narrow channels, and ensures a clean, permanent seal even under high chemical and thermal stress. Thanks to its WRAS approval It is also suitable for applications involving direct contact with drinking water.
product features
- Anaerobic thread sealant with fast curing
- Immediate low-pressure sealing (up to 0.5 mm gap filling)

Typical areas of application
- Sealing of metal pipe threads in industrial plants
- Heating and plumbing installations
- Applications involving contact with aggressive media (e.g., fuels, brake fluids, coolants)
- Drinking water installations (WRAS)
- Automotive, mechanical engineering, chemical plants
Processing instructions
- Thoroughly clean surfaces (e.g., with Permabond Cleaner A).
- Optional: Use Permabond® A905 or ASC10 as an activator for inactive metals.
- Apply a continuous bead to the thread, 1–2 threads away from the front edge.
- Assemble and tighten components; do not readjust.
