Permabond A025 High-Temperature Assembly Adhesive – Anaerobic, Chemical-Resistant, and Suitable for Drinking Water

Permabond® A025 is an anaerobic curing adhesive specially developed for the permanent bonding and sealing of metal components. Whether bearings, gears, or threaded connections, this adhesive provides reliable and permanent fixation even under extreme conditions. With a temperature resistance of up to 200°C and excellent resistance to chemicals, Permabond A025 is ideal for demanding industrial applications.

The orange fluorescent formula facilitates quality control, while the medium viscosity ensures good workability on a wide range of metal surfaces. WRAS approval also allows use in drinking water applications. Curing is particularly fast on active metals such as copper or brass; for inactive materials, the use of Permabond A905 activator is recommended.

product features

  • Anaerobic 1K assembly adhesive for metals
  • Permanent connection of bearings, gears, screws, and much more.
  • Excellent temperature resistance: -55°C to +200°C
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • WRAS certified for drinking water applications
  • Viscosity: 750 mPa·s
  • Gap filling capacity up to 0.2 mm, threads up to M20
  • Handleable after 15-30 min., functional after 2 hours, fully cured after 24 hours (at 23°C)
  • High final strength: breakaway torque 13 Nm, continued torque 23 Nm
  • Shear strength: 8 MPa (ISO 10123)

Suitable materials

  • steel
  • stainless steel
  • brass
  • copper
  • zinc

Typical areas of application

  • Permanent mounting of bearings and gears
  • Thread locking under high thermal or chemical stress
  • Plant and machinery engineering
  • drinking water installations
  • Applications with increased safety requirements

Processing instructions

  1. Clean and degrease surfaces and, if necessary, prepare them with Permabond Cleaner A.
  2. Apply adhesive to the connection area (bolt, internal thread). Apply to the bottom of the thread in blind holes.
  3. Join components and wait for hardening time.
  4. For faster curing on inactive metals: Use Permabond A905 activator or increase the temperature.

Important information

  • Not suitable for connections with steam or pure oxygen
  • Avoid contact with strong acids, alkalis, or polar solvents.
  • Test compatibility with thermoplastics beforehand
  • For industrial/professional use only
  • Keep away from children
  • Recommended storage: 5 to 25°C
