Permabond® 712 – Cyanoacrylate adhesive with high water and temperature resistance
Permabond® 712 is a single-component, low-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive (instant adhesive) that has been specially developed for demanding applications in damp or hot environments. With its excellent water resistance and thermal stability up to 120 °C (briefly up to 150 °C), it is ideal for applications that require durable and reliable bonds.
The adhesive is solvent-free (100% reactive), easy to use, and requires neither mixing nor heat to cure. It offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials such as metals, plastics, and elastomers, and is suitable for industrial and professional applications where fast curing and high resistance are required.
Product features:
- Single-component cyanoacrylate adhesive (ethyl-based)
- Solvent-free, 100% reactive
- Fixing time: from 3 seconds (depending on material)
- High water and moisture resistance
- Temperature resistant up to 120 °C (briefly up to 150 °C)
- Resistant to heat aging and moisture exposure
- Excellent adhesion to metals, plastics, and rubber
- No mixing or heating required
-
Transparent adhesive joint
Suitable materials:
- Metals (steel, aluminum)
- Plastics (ABS, PVC, nylon, polycarbonate)
-
Elastomers and rubber (EPDM, Buna N)
Typical areas of application:
- Applications in humid or wet environments
- Equipment manufacturing and industrial production
- Electronic components and component assembly
- Seals and rubber connections
-
Quick repairs in workshops and production facilities
Processing instructions:
- Clean, dry, and degrease surfaces (e.g., with acetone or isopropanol).
- Apply adhesive sparingly to one of the surfaces to be bonded.
- Fit the parts together precisely and fix them in place briefly.
- Remove excess adhesive with Permabond CA solvent, nitromethane, or acetone.
- Final strength is achieved after 24 hours.
