Permabond® 240 – High-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive with extended working time for precise alignment
Permabond® 240 is a specially formulated cyanoacrylate adhesive with increased viscosity and a significantly longer working time compared to other instant adhesives. This property allows for precise alignment of the parts to be joined and facilitates the bonding of large or sensitive components. The adhesive is ideal for foamed elastomers, porous substrates, and a wide variety of materials such as metals, plastics, and rubber. With its high gap-filling capability and excellent final strength, Permabond® 240 is ideal for demanding industrial applications. The product is also approved to MIL-A-46050C Type II Class 3, meeting the highest military quality requirements.

Processing instructions
- Thoroughly clean and degrease the bonding surfaces (e.g., with Permabond Cleaner A).
- Remove oxide layers from metals by grinding.
- Apply a thin layer of adhesive to a surface, align the components precisely, and fix them in place.
- Curing takes 15–20 seconds, with full strength achieved after 24 hours.
- Remove excess adhesive with Permabond CA-Solvent 2.
- For difficult surfaces, use Permabond CSA Activator or POP Primer.
- Store at 2–7°C; bring to room temperature before use.
