Permabond® 102 – Cyanoacrylate adhesive for fast and versatile bonding

Permabond® 102 is a medium-viscosity, single-component cyanoacrylate adhesive that has been specially developed for fast and reliable bonding of plastics, rubber, and metals. Its high reactivity and short curing time enable precise adjustment and efficient assembly processes—ideal for industrial applications with short cycle times.

product features

  • Medium viscosity (70–90 mPa·s) – drip-free and controllable application
  • Gap filling capacity up to 0.15 mm
  • Tight in just a few seconds (e.g., 3–5 seconds on steel)
  • 100% reactive – without solvents
  • Suitable for automatic application systems
  • Compliant with MIL-A-46050C Type II Class 2

Suitable materials

  • Elastomers: e.g., NBR, EPDM
  • Plastics: ABS, PVC, PC, phenolic resins
  • Metalle: Stahl, Aluminium, Zink, Kupfer
  •  Other materials after pretreatment: PE, PP, PTFE, silicone (with primer)

Typical areas of application

  • Bonding of plastic components
  • Fixing seals and rubber parts
  • High-speed production applications
  •  Use in high-precision electronics or device manufacturing

Processing instructions

  1. Clean and degrease the surface (recommended: Permabond Cleaner A)
  2. Apply thinly to one of the two surfaces
  3. Press the parts together precisely and fix them in place briefly.
  4. Do not move during curing (a few seconds)
  5. Remove excess with Permabond CA Solvent 2
  6. For porous or difficult-to-bond surfaces, use Permabond CSA or POP Primer.

Temperature and chemical resistance

  • Operating range: –55°C to +120°C (briefly above)
  • Good resistance to water, alcohol, motor oil, unleaded gasoline
  • Residual strength at high temperatures remains above 80% (up to approx. 100°C)

storage

  • Storage temperature: 2–7°C
  • Bring to room temperature before use.
  • Prevent condensation
