Permabond® 101 – Cyanoacrylate adhesive for precise micro bonding

Permabond® 101 is a single-component cyanoacrylate adhesive with ultra-low viscosity (2–3 mPa·s). It was specially developed for the precise bonding of rubber, O-rings, seals, and precision-fit plastic and metal components. Thanks to its low viscosity, it is ideal for applications with minimal gaps.

Suitable materials

  • Elastomers: e.g., EPDM, NBR

  • Thermosets: e.g., phenolic resin compounds

Typical areas of application

  • Fixing O-rings and seals in housings
  • Bonding of tightly fitting plastic and metal parts
  • Electronic assemblies with heat-sensitive components
  • Precision bonding in assembly processes

Processing instructions

  1. Apply adhesive selectively to only one of the two surfaces.
  2. Align components precisely and press them together
  3. Fixation takes place within a few seconds
  4. For difficult materials, use Permabond CSA Primer.
  5. Not suitable for: PTFE, PE, PP without primer, silicone
  6. Remove excess adhesive with Permabond CA Cleaner.

  • Recommended storage temperature: 2–7°C
  • Protect from sunlight and heat sources
  • Bring to room temperature before use.
