LOCTITE® SF 7061™ – Highly effective solvent-based cleaner for surface preparation

LOCTITE® SF 7061™ is a solvent-based, CFC-free cleaner specially developed for cleaning and degreasing surfaces prior to the application of LOCTITE® adhesives. It effectively removes grease, oil, lubricants, metal chips, and fine particles from surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and curing of the adhesives. The cleaner is based on acetone and alcohol and leaves no corrosive residues.

Typical areas of application:

• Surface preparation for adhesive bonding: Prepares surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and curing of LOCTITE® adhesives.
• Industrial cleaning: Removal of oils and greases in workshops and production lines prior to bonding.
• General maintenance: Cleaning of parts and components that are to be bonded or sealed afterwards.

Instructions for use:

• Cleaning: Spray LOCTITE® SF 7061™ generously onto the surfaces.
• Wipe off: Wipe off surfaces that are still damp with a clean cloth to remove dirt and excess solvent.
• Re-spraying: For thorough cleaning, spray again, preferably in a vertical position to allow the cleaner to run off.
• Allow to air dry: Allow to dry completely before applying the adhesive to prevent air pockets.
• Bonding: Apply the adhesive immediately to the clean surface and join the parts.
