LOCTITE® EA 3421 – Universal 2K epoxy adhesive for metals, plastics, glass, and wood

LOCTITE® EA 3421 is a high-quality, two-component epoxy adhesive with a long working time, medium viscosity, and excellent moisture resistance. The product is ideal for structural bonding on metal, ceramics, wood, glass, thermosets, and many other substrates.

Thanks to its slow curing at room temperature, LOCTITE EA 3421 provides sufficient time for adjustment, making it ideal for large-area bonding and demanding industrial applications.

Features:

  • 2K epoxy resin | Mixing ratio: 1:1 (by volume)
  • Processing time: 30–150 minutes (at 25°C, 200 g batch)
  • Hand strength: after approx. 4 hours at 22°C
  • Final strength: after approx. 36 hours at room temperature
  • Shore D hardness: 70–80
  • Tensile strength: up to 28 N/mm²
  • Shear strength: up to 25 N/mm² (steel)
  • Glass transition temperature: approx. 55°C
  • Electrically insulating (volume resistivity: 10¹⁵ Ω·cm)

Applications:

  • Structural bonding in mechanical engineering, electronics, vehicle construction
  • Bonding of metal, wood, GRP, ceramics, plastic (e.g., ABS, PC)
  • Resistant to water, oil, acids, and moisture
