LOCTITE AA 307 – UV-curing adhesive for plastics and glass
LOCTITE AA 307 is a fast-curing, UV-curing adhesive for transparent plastics and glass – ideal for optically demanding, gap-filling bonding applications in industry and trade.
Detailed product description
LOCTITE AA 307 is a single-component, solvent-free adhesive based on acrylate, which has been specially developed for bonding transparent plastics such as polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), SAN, and glass. Curing takes place at lightning speed under UV light (320–390 nm), resulting in highly transparent, visually appealing adhesive joints. Thanks to its medium viscosity, the adhesive can be applied in thin gaps as well as easily filling gaps – ideal for components with manufacturing tolerances.
LOCTITE AA 307 is characterized by its very high initial strength, good impact resistance, and resistance to moisture and temperature fluctuations. The adhesive is ideal for applications that require fast production times and the highest optical quality, e.g., in display manufacturing, the assembly of advertising elements, model making, or the furniture industry.

- (Not suitable for metals or materials that do not allow UV light to pass through)
Typical areas of application
- Bonding displays and transparent plastic parts
- Advertising elements, acrylic glass constructions
- Display cases, plexiglass covers
- Model making and industrial assembly
- Applications in furniture construction, shop design, lamp construction
- General glass and plastic bonding
Processing instructions
- Preparation: Clean surfaces thoroughly and keep them dry and dust-free.
- Application: Apply a thin layer of adhesive to one of the surfaces to be bonded.
- Joining: Aligning and joining parts.
- Curing: Exposure to UV light (wavelength 320–390 nm), typically 4–10 seconds until hand-tight.
- Note: Thick, colored, or UV-opaque materials prevent or slow down curing.
Note: LOCTITE AA 307 is especially suitable for transparent plastics and glass. For optimal results, the components should be UV-permeable and have a layer thickness of up to 0.5 mm. Not suitable for metals or opaque materials.
