CAF 731 – Thixotropic silicone elastomer for industrial applications with high requirements

CAF 731 is a single-component, thixotropic silicone elastomer that cures at room temperature upon contact with air humidity. This non-sagging, self-adhesive silicone is neutrally cross-linking and is ideal for bonding and sealing applications where different types of materials such as glass, metal, and plastic need to be securely joined.

• Thermal stability: Resistant to temperatures ranging from -60°C to +150°C and briefly up to +180°C – ideal for high-temperature applications.
• Excellent mechanical properties: High tensile strength of 3.3 MPa and elongation at break of 420% ensure flexibility and resilience.
  

Processing and application instructions

CAF 731 is supplied ready for use and can be applied manually or with an automated application device. It should be applied to a clean and dry surface, and components must be assembled before the product skins over. Stress should be avoided until the product has completely cured to ensure maximum adhesion and durability.
