BONDERITE L-GP 580 ACHESON is a solvent-based graphite dispersion based on ethyl alcohol. It is suitable for producing dry lubricating films and electrically conductive coatings, as well as for treating screw threads to prevent seizing.
Applications
- Dry film lubrication: For machines in the cigarette and food industries, office machines, vending machines, and parking meters.
- Electrically conductive coatings: Treatment of plastic cables, electrostatic shielding, corona discharge prevention, and industrial applications such as in radiation measuring devices.
- Screw thread treatment: Prevents seizing and ensures uniform torque/tension conditions.
- Impregnation: For porous materials and for incorporation into resins and plastics.
Technical specifications
- Solid content: ~23%
- Density: 900 kg/m³
- Flash point: 14 °C
- Thinners: butanol, toluene, butyl acetate, industrial ethyl alcohol
Processing instructions
Preparation

dilution
BONDERITE L-GP 580 ACHESON is diluted by slowly adding the thinner while stirring continuously. Recommended dilution ratios:
- Application: 1 part product to 3 parts thinner
- Spraying: Up to 8 parts thinner
- Immersion: 1 part product to 4 parts thinner
Application
The diluted product can be applied by spraying, brushing, or dipping. The diluted product should be stirred well again before use.
Drying and curing
