Product description BONDERITE L-GP 386 ACHESON
BONDERITE L-GP 386 ACHESON is a dispersion of high-purity graphite in ethyl alcohol, which serves as a high-quality dry lubricating film and electrically conductive coating. It is used in metalworking and in special spraying processes. The coating provides effective protection and improves the performance of machines and components.
Special features
- Fast drying
- Excellent adhesion
- Good lubricity
- High heat resistance
- Low odor
- Low toxicity
- Formation of a dry lubricating film
- Electrical conductivity
BONDERITE L-GP 386 ACHESON offers versatile application possibilities in various industries and guarantees consistent performance thanks to its quality.
Application
- Dry film lubrication: Suitable for use under high loads at normal temperatures, e.g., in cigarette manufacturing machines, office machines, vending machines, and parking meters.
- Electrically conductive coatings: Can be used for treating plastic cables, preventing corona discharge, as electrodes in radiation measuring devices and meters, and in industrial and radio components.
- Screw thread treatment: Fast drying and formation of a dirt-repellent layer that provides consistent torque/tension values and prevents seizing.
- Metalworking: Used as a lubricant in hot forging of aluminum, tumble forging, and cold extrusion, as well as a billet lubricant in aluminum extrusion.
- Pre-treatment of molds: Ideal for pre-treating anode lead pipes and as a run-in coating for continuous casting plants.
- Impregnation: Suitable for impregnating porous materials and for incorporation into resins and plastics.
Processing instructions
Before use, we recommend reading the safety data sheet and observing the applicable safety regulations.
dilution
BONDERITE L-GP 386 ACHESON can be diluted in a ratio of 1:2 to 1:3. A ratio of 1:15 is recommended for spray applications. The diluted product should be stirred well before use.
application
The product can be applied by spraying, brushing, or dipping. Air-dried films are dry in less than a minute and reach their maximum hardness and conductivity after one hour. Optionally, curing can be carried out at a maximum temperature of 150 °C for 10 minutes to one hour to improve adhesion and conductivity.
disposal
The graphite in the product can be disposed of as low-risk chemical waste or incinerated. Liquid waste should be collected for reuse in solvent production.
