Product description

BLUESIL® RTV 3430 SB A is the soft and delayed main component for the RTV 3430 SB silicone system. Developed for applications requiring high detail accuracy and system durability, this component offers soft Shore hardness (approx. 30) and excellent tear resistance. The single-base system (A-component only) requires a longer curing time, but this enables bubble-free casting even with complex geometries. RTV 3430 SB A is ideal for molds with numerous undercuts, sensitive areas, or manual processing.

product features

  • Single-base A component, addition-curing system

  • Shore hardness A: approx. 30 – soft and flexible

  • Extended pot life – ideal for large-volume castings

  • No mixing ratio required

  • Pot life: approx. 60 minutes at room temperature

  • Demolding time: approx. 24–48 hours (room temperature)

  • Temperature resistant: –140 °F to 392 °F

  • Shrink-free, dimensionally stable, durable

  • Very high tear and tear resistance

  • Suitable for vacuum and pressure environments

  • Compatible with PU, epoxy, concrete, and wax systems

Suitable materials

  • Polyurethane resins and epoxies

  • Plaster, wax, soap, concrete

  • Originals made of wood, clay, plastic, or metal

Typical areas of application

  • Soft elastic mold making with many undercuts

  • Models with manual casting process

  • Prototype production or small series

  • Design forms, art replicas

  • Technical mold making with complex geometries

  • Reusable dies for vacuum or pressure casting

Processing instructions

  1. Shake container well before use.

  2. Pour into the prepared, clean mold.

  3. If necessary, use vacuum processing to remove bubbles.

  4. Room temperature curing: approx. 24–48 hours

  5. Heat (up to 60 °C) can accelerate curing.

  6. Demold after complete cross-linking

  7. Avoid contact with substances containing sulfur, amines, or tin.

  8. Storage: Keep sealed in an airtight container in a cool, dry place at 5–30 °C.
