Permabond® ET540 is a high-temperature resistant, two-component epoxy-based adhesive with high shear and peel strength.

Suitable substrates

It achieves strong adhesion on a variety of surfaces such as

  • wood
  • metal
  • ceramics
  • Many plastics
  • Many composite materials
Suitable applications
  • Large applications and in series production due to slow curing
  • Ideal for vertical applications due to thixotropic low flow tendency
  • Applications requiring high gap filling capacity up to 5 mm
Advantages of Permabond® ET540
  • Complete curing at room temperature
  • Simple and convenient application
  • High shear and peel strength
  • Shockproof
  • High resistance to gasoline, oil, and water
  • High temperature resistance
  • Thixotropic, low flow tendency: drip-free application
Note on surface pretreatment

Before applying the adhesive, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of grease. We recommend Permabond® Cleaner A for degreasing most surfaces. The oxide layer on some metals, such as aluminum, copper, and their alloys, should be removed with sandpaper before applying the adhesive to achieve an even better result.
