Description

Permabond® TA4631 is a translucent, odorless* two-component methacrylate-based adhesive that is particularly suitable for bonding low surface energy plastics (polyolefins) without primer or surface preparation.

Difference to Permabond® TA4630

Permabond® TA4631 is similar toPermabond® TA4630, with the difference that TA4631 does not contain microbeads and is therefore suitable for bonding with smaller gaps.

Suitable substrates

It is suitable for a wide range of materials:

  • Plastics with low surface energy (polyolefins) such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE)
  • metals
  • composite materials
  • Different surfaces

The surface should be clean, dry, and free of grease before application. For metals such as aluminum, copper, and their alloys, remove the oxide layer with sandpaper before applying the adhesive. Traces of release agents on polyolefin plastics can be cleaned with Permabond® Cleaner A.

Advantages of Permabond® TA4631
  • Odorless: improves working comfort
  • Excellent water resistance: sticks underwater
  • No primer or surface pretreatment required
  • Rapid curing at room temperature
