Description
Permabond® TA4246 is a structural two-component acrylate adhesive that cures rapidly at room temperature and offers good chemical resistance.
Suitable substrates
TA4246 bonds a wide range of materials with Permabond® Initiator 46.
Recommended applications
It replaces joining methods such as riveting or welding to create a weight-saving, durable connection.
Advantages of Permabond® TA4246
- Rapid curing at room temperature
- High-strength structural connection
- Excellent chemical resistance
- High peeling and impact loads
- High impact resistance
- "No-mix" adhesive system – no mixing required
Note on surface pretreatment
Before applying the adhesive, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of grease. We recommend Permabond® Cleaner A for degreasing most surfaces. The oxide layer on some metals, such as aluminum, copper, and their alloys, should be removed with sandpaper before applying the adhesive to achieve an even better result.
