LOCTITE® EA 109 – High-temperature epoxy adhesive for industrial, automotive, and magnet bonding applications

LOCTITE® EA 109 is a high-performance, single-component epoxy adhesive with very high viscosity, specially developed for applications requiring high mechanical strength, heat resistance, and permanent adhesion. The adhesive offers excellent resistance to shear, split, tensile, and impact loads and is ideal for structural bonding in numerous industrial applications.

Typical applications include the automotive industry, general manufacturing, magnet bonding, filter end caps, and other demanding applications where materials need to be permanently bonded. Due to its non-electrically conductive properties, LOCTITE EA 109 can also be used in electronic or sensitive components.

Heat curing is recommended for maximum performance. The processing time is around 3 minutes, and the alignment time is up to 240 minutes—ideal for precise positioning before curing. After complete curing, the adhesive achieves a shear strength of up to 30 N/mm². The product is cream-colored, with a viscosity of approx. 150,000 mPa·s, and comes in a 320 ml cartridge.
