Product description Bonderite L-CA CG 575 Acheson
BONDERITE L-CA CG 575 ACHESON is a water-based, fine-particle size permanent mold release agent for gravity and low-pressure casting.
BONDERITE L-CA CG 575 ACHESON belongs to a series of insulation coatings developed for different cooling rates. It provides a firmly adhering, durable coating with relatively low insulation performance, enabling faster cooling of the molten metal for the production of high-quality castings.
BONDERITE L-CA CG 575 ACHESON is particularly suitable for the production of castings with large, flat surfaces that require excellent flow into thin sections. The fine particle size ensures excellent surface finish.
Application
BONDERITE L-CA CG 575 ACHESON is applied to the mold surfaces after they have been thoroughly cleaned of dirt, oil, grease, and previous coatings. Light sandblasting is ideal, but brushing with a wire brush may be sufficient to remove contaminants from the surface.
It is recommended that BONDERITE L-CA CG 575 ACHESON be applied over BONDERITE L-CA CG 515 ACHESON primer.
For an even, durable coating, the diluted material is sprayed onto the mold surfaces, which have been preheated to 160 to 200°C. When applying with a brush, the surfaces to be treated should be preheated to 120 to 140°C.
Several thin coatings, which are allowed to dry between applications, are better than one thick coating. The coatings can be touched up at normal mold operating temperatures.
Processing instructions
Preliminary remark
Before use, the safety data sheet should be read for precautions and safety instructions. The applicable safety regulations must be observed. Please also observe local safety regulations and contact Henkel for analytical support.
dilution
BONDERITE L-CA CG 575 ACHESON is a concentrate that must be diluted with water before spray or brush application. Sediment may form in the container during storage. Therefore, the concentrate must be mixed to a uniform consistency before use. Shaking may be sufficient, but stirring is preferred.
The diluted product should also be shaken occasionally during use. It is preferable to add water to the
Concentrate added.
dilution ratio
The dilution ratios vary depending on the application, but BONDERITE L-CA CG 575 ACHESON is usually diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1.
The product can be used undiluted when applying with a brush. Special applications may require further dilution to achieve optimum performance.
