INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Preliminary remark
Please read the safety data sheet for precautions and safety instructions before use. Observe local safety regulations and contact Henkel for further assistance.
surface preparation
The substrates must be dry and free of contaminants. Excellent results are achieved without pretreatment, but for maximum wear resistance, pretreatments such as a heat-resistant phosphate coating or blasting for steel, blasting or a heat-resistant conversion coating for aluminum, and a chromate coating or etching for copper alloys are recommended.
Application
Thoroughly homogenize the product before use. Application is normally carried out using spraying techniques, preferably with an external atomizing nozzle. One to two spraying operations are required to achieve an optimum layer thickness of 10 to 25 μm.
Repeated application
For repairs, BONDERITE L-GP 333-1 EU ACHESON can be reapplied without completely removing the original layer. Lightly sand the edges and roughen the surrounding areas slightly. Then apply the coating as for the initial application and carry out the curing process as described below.
hardening
Air dry for two to five minutes, then pre-dry at 150 °C for 10 minutes. Typical curing cycles are: 316 °C for 5 minutes or 205 °C for 30 minutes.
