PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Bonderite L-GP 323 Acheson

BONDERITE L-GP 323 ACHESON is a fast-drying, resin-bonded, PTFE-based dry lubricant for coating wood, metal, rubber, plastic, and glass substrates.

BONDERITE L-GP 323 ACHESON has been specially developed for low-friction, repetitive loads. Moving parts wear more slowly, withstand workloads better, and require less maintenance when coated with BONDERITE L-GP 323 ACHESON. In addition, curing at room temperature makes it possible to use it where conventional sintered PTFE coatings are not an option.

Special features
  • Aerosolized for easier handling
  • Clean and easy to use
  • Excellent adhesive strength on most substrates
  • Excellent lubricity
  • Hard, abrasion-resistant surface
  • Thin film

PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

Preliminary remark

We recommend reading the safety data sheet for precautions and safety instructions before use. The applicable safety regulations must be observed. Please also observe local safety regulations and contact Henkel for analytical support.

pre-treatment

The substrates to be coated should be clean and dry and free of contaminants and residues such as dust, grease, or powder before being treated with BONDERITE L-GP 323 ACHESON. Light sanding with sandpaper or emery cloth followed by wiping with a solvent and air drying may be sufficient. However, for maximum coating performance, surface cleaning can be supplemented by granulate blasting or an appropriate chemical treatment, such as phosphating, anodizing, or acid etching.

Mixing

BONDERITE L-GP 323 ACHESON is supplied ready for use in an aerosol can. Shake the spray can for 30 seconds before use.

curing

BONDERITE L-GP 323 ACHESON coatings are touch dry after approximately 5 minutes and dry enough for use after approximately 20 minutes, depending on film thickness. The coating is fully cured after one hour.

Light heating, but not above 65 °C, reduces the total curing time to about 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the application and substrate.

Application in high humidity conditions may increase clouding or tarnishing, and strong sunlight exposure may result in a darker finish. However, none of these effects will compromise the performance of the coating.
