PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Bonderite L-GP 325EF Acheson
BONDERITE L-GP 325EF ACHESON is a fast-drying, resin-bonded, PTFE-based dry lubricant for coating wood, metal, rubber, plastic, and glass substrates.
BONDERITE L-GP 325EF ACHESON has been specially developed for low-friction, repetitive loads. Moving parts wear more slowly, withstand workloads better, and require less maintenance when coated with BONDERITE L-GP 325EF ACHESON. Curing at room temperature allows it to be used where conventional sintered PTFE coatings are not an option.

PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
Preliminary remark
Before use, the safety data sheet should be read for precautions and safety instructions. The applicable safety regulations must be observed. Please also observe local safety regulations and contact Henkel for analytical support.
pre-treatment
The substrates to be coated should be clean and dry and free of contaminants and residues such as dust, grease, or powder before being treated with BONDERITE L-GP 325EF ACHESON. Light sanding with sandpaper or emery cloth, followed by wiping with a solvent and air drying, may be sufficient. However, for maximum coating performance, surface cleaning can be supplemented by granulate blasting or an appropriate chemical treatment, such as phosphating, anodizing, or acid etching.
Dilution & mixing
BONDERITE L-GP 325EF ACHESON is a concentrate that must be diluted before use. A dilution ratio of 3:1 (product:dilutant) is recommended.
Application
BONDERITE L-GP 325EF ACHESON can be applied using conventional spray, dip, or brush methods. The product can be applied using an external spray gun with a nozzle diameter of 0.8 to 1.5 mm and an air pressure of 2 to 3 bar. For thicker coatings, several spraying processes are necessary, with a few minutes allowed for air drying between each process.
curing
BONDERITE L-GP 325EF ACHESON coatings are touch dry after approximately 5 minutes and dry enough for use after approximately 20 minutes, depending on film thickness. The coating is completely dry after 4 hours. Light heating, but not above 65 °C, reduces the total curing time to approximately 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the application and substrate.
Application in high humidity conditions may increase clouding or fogging, and strong sunlight exposure may result in a darker finish. However, none of these effects will compromise the performance of the coating.
protective measures
BONDERITE L-GP 325EF ACHESON coatings are moderately resistant to some inorganic corrosive substances, such as sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide. However, contact with organic solvents, such as alcohol, esters, and ketones, should be avoided.
The application to plastic or fabric may cause the substrate to temporarily swell or soften. In most cases, the plastics return to their original dimensions after drying. The solvent in the carrier often etches the substrate, resulting in stronger adhesion of the coating.
